MELTING OF AGE PRESENTS: SUMMER MELTDOWN 2017

On Thursday, June 29th, it was just like any other warm summer day in the vast city of Los Angeles. The city was busy, people are rushing, sweating, and the streets are crowded, but that doesn't stop us from throwing down a hefty show in the middle of summer. Taken place at Los Globos, located on Sunset Blvd, we invited a handful of friends to join us on our mission to have our first ever Summer Meltdown show! Openers, Ryley and Raychel, did a core b2b set that warmed up the confined Red Room, giving us the start-up we all needed. Right when the clock hit 5:30, Rora Team artist, gupi hopped on his gear and gave us a sarcastic, quirky show by letting loose pop edits and remixes alongside by unrecognized IDs! Then a switch up happened when DC native, Warpstr, entered the decks and delivered vital club sounds with an inevitable side by side set with jersey club mover hikeii. Soon after, Umru stepped up and released wild 808s, iconic SoundCloud masterpieces, and obviously, "The Zoo". Track after track, this New York producer, conquered the club and twisted necks with each riveting drop. To say the least, there were many unforgettable back 2 back sets you shouldn't have missed out on that night...just like this next one. Bringing out a diverse arrangement of electronic mashups, Paper Crane's Madnap proved his ability to get a room heated to the most, especially when you bring along friends like Blank and Varien. Clutching in at the last 10 minutes of his set, the wild and powerful rhythms of dubstep and bass music could have almost finished the club. But it wasn't over just yet. FAN FICTION rewarded our ears with quintessential drum & bass, NXC that went over 170 BPM, and more! Sparking a dance circle within the room, everyone laughed, sung, and danced the night through. With only a commanding 10 minutes remaining, bass producer Ehallz and Mitomoro collided together to give a few tasteful heavy tunes in a special guest set! Forced to end the night early, everyone without a doubt left with a smile on their face and a memory to talk about the next day. Bringing together a community of artists and friends in one room was the goal for this summer night, and it was a meltdown to remember!
