"Honored to curate a playlist for Melting of Age, and there couldn't have been a better month for this!  Many musicians that I adore and take inspiration from released new tunes this month, from all ends of my musical preferences.  Since the volume of content in February was so vast, this playlist is just a small sample of all that I'm currently listening to.  Overall, I seem to be in more of a pop mood, with catchy tracks like Bohkeh & Ehiorobo's "Happy Place," and Abbi Press's electrifying "Begin Again."  There are, however, some songs in here that come across more tender.  Arca's "Anoche" from his upcoming album is super chilling, and Nico Niquo's "In a Silent Way" has me feeling quite the surge of emotions.  I hope this playlist helps you discover something new!"

ARTIST Q&A: MAX REIST'S NEW EP

HEADACHE Written by: Zebrina Garcia Max reist catapults a colorful new EP titled, headache , into the ears of listeners. Splashing with chimes, bops, rings, acoustic guitar, and rich musical structure, headache is composed of vocals by max himself, as well as a brief feature from his lovely partner Abby, in the cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Gimmie Love." The wholesome vibrations and eccentric sound design make the EP standout brightly as max's first official project. Tracks like "stripes" and EP titled track "headache" break through the norms of electronic music. The variety of textures and sounds emulate max as an artist who tears down walls to audibly give listeners a sweet taste of his imagination. Each track is different from the other but somehow all fit into a nicely blended flow.
