PLAYLIST SERIES: FEBRUARY WITH BRAZ_OS Director of music/media labels DESKPOP  and FRIGHTHOUSE , singer/producer BRAZ_OS has selected a handful of gorgeous tunes that he's been loving all throughout the month of February. "Honored to curate a playlist for Melting of Age, and there couldn't have been a better month for this!  Many musicians that I adore and take inspiration from released new tunes this month, from all ends of my musical preferences.  Since the volume of content in February was so vast, this playlist is just a small sample of all that I'm currently listening to.  Overall, I seem to be in more of a pop mood, with catchy tracks like Bohkeh & Ehiorobo's "Happy Place," and Abbi Press's electrifying "Begin Again."  There are, however, some songs in here that come across more tender.  Arca's "Anoche" from his upcoming album is super chilli

YOU WERE WRONG From Portland, Oregon, bass producer, Send Off released his debut EP, titled You Were Wrong . The three-track project gives listeners an idea of the kind of energy Send Off truly aspires to emulate in his music. Each track is composed of dark and rigid signals with dense bass projecting a raging hue to the EP. You Were Wrong displays a different side of Send Off and shows us that his style is emerging into another realm of bass music. MAIN-ROOM Written by: McTavish Jones The powerhouse collective, Bedroomer released their latest compilation Main -Room . Hailing from Toronto, Canada the extensive roster of artists incorporated trap, jungle, footwork and dance music to create a high intensity yet soft and somber sound. Using fast and complex beats along with warm and swelling basses the sound morphs into a dreamy melancholy sensation. Artists such as Sleepycatt , Internet Daughter , and Iyer create fast paced tracks that compliment the album and overall aesthetic. PRODUCER/DJ: R3LL From Newark, New Jersey, relentless Jersey Club artist, R3LL, aspires to pursue a sound that not only addresses his hometown but as well as intertwining other styles he loves. With a recent release of a Kehlani remix, "CrZy" and two successful EPs, Visions and Directions , R3LL takes his artistry to all spectrums of Jersey Club, making his style unique and unlike your usual club artist. In each track, he reveals not only his love for spreading the sound of jersey's club scene but also displays his skill to incorporate prime and catchy samples and sounds of deep house, electro, and future music. From heated mixes to his signature club edits [found in his second SoundCloud, R3LL (Hidden Gems) ], R3LL conquers it all and is no doubt a key figure in today's Jersey Club community. AT THE OC OBSERVATORY It was a Thursday night and producer duo, Hotel Garuda, were holding their second show for the first leg of the Eternal Sun Tour in the Constellation Room. A favorite space to host a show, the room was sold out and filled to the very back. With openers Matt DiMona , playing an excellent track selection of originals and indie favorites to Wingtip , moving the vibe with his disco house inspired set, the audience was perfectly prepped and already rowdy for what Hotel Garuda was about to deliver. That evening, Hotel Garuda had their crowd up and dancing all throughout their set by dishing out bass and trap to teasing unreleased music. Playing a sold out show, Hotel Garuda more than made everyone there that night happy but as well as the attendees for the anticipated sold out shows for the rest of the tour! ARCHES EP After quite some time, producer AZURA, from Detroit, Michigan, finally released his new awaited EP, Arches . The seven-song compilation resonates light and adventure in every track inviting you to immerse yourself in a world of AZURA. BOUND BY NOTHING PRESENTS: BOUND BY RECESS Throwing their debut event at Recess Studios, a studio warehouse spot in Santa Ana, Bound By Nothing was able to produce an event all the attendees won't forget. From hearing nothing but good things about Bioh's opening to grinless' hyper jersey club set, and Nav's unique track selection, the lineup consisted of artists who we have imagined to see live come to reality. Artists like Ramen boy , Blank , and Trunx all threw down trap and club bass sets that made the crowd sweat and dance. Making mosh pits to dance circles, Bound By Recess is one for the books. With special guests appearing all throughout the night like Low Poly , hip-hop/rap crew, Generic , and @hikeii's iPhone DJ set, no moment went by with dull activity. Creating a positive atmosphere, the coordinators and artists of this show were able to bring a variety of music lovers to a space where you are free to have fun with friends and bond with music. W
